1. Information We Collect

We only ask for what we need to run Flitting:

  • Email for waitlist, login and support.
  • Name or handle so friends recognise you when you reveal yourself.
  • Date of birth to keep the community 13+ and policy compliant.
  • Country or region for legal requirements and safety features.
  • Stories & replies that disappear when their lifetime ends.
  • Usage patterns to improve performance and fight spam.
  • Purchase & Subscription Data such as purchase history, subscription status, and transaction IDs from Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not store your payment card details or billing information—this is handled entirely by the platform stores.

2. How We Use It

  • Deliver and personalise the core Flitting experience.
  • Send product updates and important security notices.
  • Moderate content for community safety and wellbeing.
  • Improve reliability, performance and new features.
  • Meet legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Ephemeral By Design

  • Stories auto-delete based on the timer you choose.
  • Expired content is permanently removed from our servers.
  • We do not keep hidden archives of your flits.

4. Data Security

We use encryption in transit, hardened infrastructure, access controls and recurring security reviews to safeguard your data.

5. Trusted Partners

We team up with carefully vetted providers for:

  • Email delivery and transactional communications.
  • Analytics using anonymised or aggregated metrics.
  • Cloud storage with encryption at rest.
  • Automated and human content moderation.
  • Payment processing and subscription management through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms handle all payment transactions and store your payment information securely. We only receive confirmation of purchases and subscription status.

6. Payment and Purchase Data

When you make in-app purchases or subscribe to premium features:

  • What We Receive: We receive purchase confirmations, subscription status, and transaction identifiers from Apple App Store or Google Play Store. This helps us activate premium features and manage your subscription.
  • What We Don't Receive: We never see or store your payment card numbers, billing addresses, or other sensitive payment information. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple or Google.
  • Subscription Management: Your subscription preferences and cancellation requests are managed through your device's App Store or Play Store settings. We sync subscription status to provide access to premium features.
  • Purchase History: We maintain a record of your purchase and subscription history to provide customer support and ensure feature access. This data is retained as required by law and for account management purposes.
  • Third-Party Services: We may use services like RevenueCat to help manage subscriptions and purchases. These services process data according to their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.

7. Your Rights

  • Access the personal data we store about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Opt out of non-essential emails or notifications.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent whenever you like.

8. Kids' Privacy

Flitting is for ages 13+. If we learn a younger user has joined, we delete their data and deactivate access.

9. International Users

Flitting runs on India based infrastructure. Using the app means your data may be processed in India.

10. Changes to This Policy

When we revise this policy we post the update here and refresh the "last updated" date. Major changes come with in-app or email notifications.
